Korean National Symphony Orchestra‘s Charter on Human Rights Management

We the executives and staff of the Korean National Symphony Orchestra strive to achieve the vision of ‘the nation’s representative orchestra to communicate across all genres and classes. Additionally, we strive to achieve the mission of ‘creating a society where music provides happiness to all citizens.’


We actively practice human rights management that set great importance on human dignity and values for all stakeholders affected by our management activities, including executives and employees, related organizations, partners, customers, and local residents. Based on this, we have established a charter on human rights management. In order to ensure that we will make every effort to respect human rights., we hereby declare the Korean National Symphony Orchestra’s Charter on Human Rights Management Charter as follows:


  1. 1. We respect and support international standards and regulations on human rights, such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights adopted by the UN.
  2. 2. We do not discriminate against our stakeholders, including executives and employees, for any reason, including gender, religion, disability, age, social status, or region of origin.
  3. 3. We guarantee freedom of association and collective bargaining to protect the rights and interests of employees, and aim for joint prosperity based on trust between labor and management.
  4. 4. We do not allow any kind of forced labor or child labor.
  5. 5. We strive to build a fair and win-win environment in the field of culture and arts, and strive to prevent corruption and ensure transparent management.
  6. 6. We promote occupational safety and health by creating a safe and hygienic working environment.
  7. 7. We strive for mutual growth with our partner companies and support and cooperate with them to practice human rights management.
  8. 8. We strive to ensure that the human rights of customers and local residents are not violated during our business activities.
  9. 9. We strive to protect the environment and prevent environmental disasters.
  10. 10. We strive to protect our customers’ human rights and personal information.
  11. 11. We provide prompt and appropriate remedies for human rights violations that occur in our business activities and strive to prevent them in advance.
